Latest Shelby Performance Parts Boost Style and Superior Handling

Las Vegas – Sept. 28, 2012 – Shelby Performance Parts, a division of Shelby American, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc., (CSBI.PK) has introduced several new parts to add style and performance to the 2005-2010 Mustang GT, 2005-2013 Mustang and Shelby Mustangs, 2012-2013 Boss 302 and 2007-2013 Shelby GT500. The fresh product lineup features polished aluminum Shelby 4.6L Racing Valve Covers to add some shine to the engine bay, as well as some high performance parts; including a Shelby Aluminum 7 Quart Racing Baffled Oil Pan, Shelby Billet Watts Link and Shelby Rear Shock Tower Braces that will dramatically improve engine performance and vehicle handling capabilities.

Whether one is transforming their Shelby for the track, or just want to add some tasteful upgrades to the engine bay, the Shelby 4.6L Racing Valve Covers will fit the bill. Made from superior ultra-lightweight aluminum, these valve covers resist heat warp and are designed to seal perfectly against the engine’s heads. These covers also sport the famous Shelby Racing logo engraved onto the top and include all the mounting hardware needed for a simple bolt-on installation for 2005-2010 Mustang GT and 2007-2008 Shelby GT’s.

 

Attacking corners on the track, aggressive braking and spirited driving on a winding road can potentially create oil starvation to the stock oil pump, introducing air into the engine’s oiling system and dangerously dropping oil pressure. The Shelby Aluminum 7 Quart Racing Baffled Oil Pan will prevent this problem with innovative trap doors that close during hard cornering and braking to keep the oil pickup tube completely submerged at all times. The pan is designed to fit any 2007-2012 Shelby with the Ford GT500 5.4L engine without clearance issues and has the capacity to hold seven quarts of oil.

 

The Shelby Billet Watts Link is a must-have for serious enthusiasts who are looking to dramatically tighten up their suspension for competitive driving. This setup allows the live rear axle of a Shelby or Mustang to move vertically while preventing lateral motion, which decreases chassis roll in and out of hard corners. CNC cut out of high grade billet aluminum, the Shelby Billet Watts Link is completely street friendly, yet strong enough to withstand the abuse of all types of driving. The piece will fit 2005-2013 Ford and Shelby Mustang coupes, as well as the 2012-2013 Boss 302 Mustang, and comes with all the necessary mounting hardware.

 

In addition to the Watts Link, Shelby American is offering a Shelby Rear Shock Tower Brace that bolts directly onto the rear shock towers to further stiffen the chassis and enhance handling characteristics of a Mustang or Shelby. The brace helps prevent the chassis from deflecting in and out of corners and also during hard launches. Available in a powder coat silver or natural finish, the Shelby Rear Shock Tower Brace can be installed using simple hand tools to any 2005-2013 Mustang or Shelby and can also be welded in for permanent installations.
