As we transition from Summer to Fall late this month, S.F. Bay Area TS-PCR members will cruise to Carmel for the day and catch lunch on the deck at the Baja Cantina: http://www.carmelcantina.com/ 7166 Carmel Valley Road, Carmel, CA 93923 - (831) 625-2252

We did this same run July 2011 and had a great time - see post #66 here: http://www.teamshelb...un/page__st__60

Brian (Baja Cantina's manager) will rope off and reserve the back paved parking area for us and carve out a space on the deck for our group. Our 2 meet spots along I-680 and Hwy 101 S/B are listed below. Who's in?

If you want to catch the conga line on a roll in San Jose at Hwy's 85 & 101 (shown here: http://maps.google.c...&gl=us&t=h&z=15 ) we'll be passing by at approximately 10:00am.

Here's a map of our 2nd meet location in Gilroy off Hwy 101 at 10th Street and Chestnut behind the McDonald's. Plan on arriving before 10:30am and we'll head out about 10:45am or so. http://maps.google.c...&gl=us&t=k&z=18

As we transition from Summer to Fall in the next 2 weeks, I was thinking about a TS-PCR cruise to Carmel for the day and catching lunch on the deck at the Baja Cantina http://www.carmelcantina.com/

If there's enough interest, I'll post additional info and set-up some meet spots along I-680 and Hwy 101 S/B. Who's in?

  1. SVT NAJA

  2. me32

Doh...didn't see the date in the thread title...I'll be in Scottsdale from Thurs-Sun at that time.

Come to think of it, I think I was in Scottsdale when you had the HMB cruise back in May.

Tom,

It's still too hot to be in Scottsdale during September. Temps November through March are much more enjoyable...

Have a good trip! Catch you on the next one.

Jim, great to see you today and thanks for mentioning this run. As of now we are in, hopefully not too early as it's a 3.5 hour drive.......

Bruce,

Good seeing everyone today. The "Uncork the Cobra" event at Perry Creek Winery was great.

How does 9am at SunValley Sears sound?

I'm in.....Thanks....

Larry,

Welcome aboard. I'll wait to hear from Andy, but a S/B stop off the 101 in Gilroy works for me. See you on the 29th!

Jim

Larry do you know of a good spot maybe in Southern Gilroy to meet up with the group? There's a couple of big parking lots off 10th street, but as I recall not all that easy getting on and off 101. Also possibly off Masten or San Martin Ave or down by the Hilton?

Our Corvette Club always meets on 10th street in front of the DMV when we go south....It's not bad Coming south just take 10th st. first left into McDonalds rigth to DMV....Easy.....

Good spot. Let's meet there.

101 South and at the 10th St exit you initially head right (East) then left into the McD's and DMV parking lot. There's a large open parking lot in front of the Cycle Gear motorcycle accessory place if we need it.

Andy and Larry,

Thanks for identifying this meet location. It's perfect! I expect that our group from points north will arrive at approximately 10:45am or so.

9 am SunValley Sears sounds good to me. I will also bring a friend from Santa Rosa. Is this an any Mustang, or just Shelby's event? If you let me know soon enough I can flash email the rest of our club up here in Santa Rosa if you like.

Mike,

I'm looking forward to having you and Renee on the cruise with us. Please feel free to invite any of your local Mustang club members. See you on the 29th!

What is the route going to be. Are going to come thru Santa Cruz.

SHELBY KID,

I thought about that, but if the coast is socked in with fog, it will put a damper on the cruise (no pun intended). I suggest you join us at Hwy's 85 and S/B 101 about 10:20am. Let me know if you're in as I need to give the Baja Cantina a fairly accurate car and head count.
