The route is up Highway 7 (the one that Luke (Mike) wants to drive - it is a fun mountain road with lots of turns, but also lots of slow people and no passing zones). Then to Allenspark and then into Estes Park on the "Peak to Peak Highway". On the way we go past Saint Malo - a Catholic retreat center where the Pope stayed a bunch of years ago. It's a great place to take some pictures. Then we went to Estes, had lunch and drove down the Big Thompson Canyon. The battery on the GoPro ran down before the down trip or I'd try to figure out hot to upload. Meanwhile, stills from St. Malo. This place will be ablaze in green and gold in a few weeks as the Aspens change color. Alas, we don't get reds here... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
