650pony
Once your car is delivered to the dealership, how long does it take for the "dealer prep"? Does the tech take you for a drive in your car before you leave the dealership? Please let me know your experience. Thanks to all!
rocky
They should wash and clean the car and some dealer will wax it as well. The should also go over the controls and function of the car with you,in some states they also put the plates on the car for you. When they go over the car with you that is your chance to ask any questions. The part where they clean your ca r and prep it may take a day depending what the dealer is doing. As far as going over the car with you it will yake about an hour depending on how many questions you may have. I hope this answered your question...welcome to team shelby

650pony
To Rocky and Snoopy49:, thank you very much for the helpful info. It's been a very long time since I've had a brand new car, I just want to be prepared for the delivery process.

bergenfelter
I told my dealer to unload it from the truck and stick it in the showroom. I have had bad experiences (n.b. not with Ford) on dealer prep. On this car I did it all myself and they were more than happy to accommodate. Installed the splitter, antenna, etc. -John.
