eagledriver Posted July 18, 2012 Report Share Posted July 18, 2012 Carlisle Events is holding the first ever Car show outside of Carlisle on the site of the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. This is the first event of it's kind and will be a multi-brand event. I have been asked to pass this out to all Team Shelby members. They are looking for both showfield cars and Invitational cars. Invitational cars will be displayed inside and is an honor to be selected. While there will be several hundred ( 700+) cars it won't be on the scale of the all-Ford Nationals (3000+). Here is a direct cut and paste of the info from Rick Markko , Carlisle Event Manager. As you may or may not know, Carlisle Events is taking on a new endeavor. This coming August will host the 1st Annual Bloomsburg Nationals powered by Carlisle Events. We are thrilled to be a part of this event! You have been a valued feature in our events in the past and I would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you and your beautiful vehicle to be a part of the Bloomsburg Nationals. Of the thousands of vehicles displayed on our grounds every year, we would like to offer you the chance to display your vehicle in the “Best of Carlisle” invitational at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds display. The show will take place August 10th, 11th and 12th in Bloomsburg, PA. We want to show Bloomsburg what Carlisle Events is all about in a featured indoor display highlighting all of our specialty shows. In addition to hosting your vehicle in our “Best Of” display, you will be our special guest. Admission will be free for you and a guest and you will have the opportunity to serve as one of our Celebrity Judges. You will receive a personal invitation to the catered Celebrity Luncheon on Saturday as well as the chance to choose your favorite car on the show field. During the Sunday Awards presentation, the car of your choice will be presented with a special Celebrity Choice award featuring your signature. We hope that you choose to join us. We’d prefer Thursday 8/9 or earlier, at the very latest early Friday AM 8/10 – we can accommodate each person, just let us know. When is tear down? Sunday at Noon cars can come out of the building. Hours of the event? Building Hours: Friday-Sat 7-7, Sun 7-Noon Are they required to stay with their car? They are not required to stay with their cars, we recommend interacting with the audience as they see fit. Gas in tank requirements or limitations since it is a closed building? No. Any other requirements or limitations imposed by the Fair Board in a closed building? No, we’re good to go. Stanchions & chain provided? We will provide chain & stanchion for the vehicles. 20x20 displays permitted? Absolutely, but we’d ask for confirmation on display space needed. Trailer parking? Trailer parking will be provided free of charge for all invitational vehicles. Hotel deals? They can use our name with the Econolodge when making accommodations to receive discounted rates. At this point however I believe they are booked. I may have a few available rooms in our block but they will be VERY limited. Is there any cost to them? They are responsible for their lodging, travel and etc. Carlisle Events will provide trailer parking, free place to park their vehicle & lunch on Saturday where they will be our guests and they can be a celebrity to chose their favorite vehicle. Are we judging or offering gifts (like our signs)? They will be provided a gift on CE’s part for being a part of the “Best of Carlisle” display. We will provide the acrylic sign & etc. If judged, what are the awards? No judging.
