Wayne Grey
The latest OLD CARS WEEKLY (great weekly for those of you looking for some interesting reading - I look forward to receiving my issues) has some great articles on Carrol Shelby. One titled "Carol on Carroll" is about Carol Connors and how she came about writting the song "Hey Little Cobra" and how Carroll kept his word and gave her a Cobra! She became a life long friend of Carroll and sang at his 75th birthday celebration. She has owned 3 Cobras in her life, but has sold all of them including the purple one that Carroll gave her - I wonder who has it now !
ejrail
I don't know who has her car but the cover car on the LP by The Rip Chords is on display at the Larry H MIller museum (Miller Motorsports Park) in Grantsville, UT. I have seen it several times and have pics of it in my home computer. It is in front of a blown up album cover and the actual album. It was supposedly purchased for about 1.2 M at auction serveral years ago.
Wayne Grey
That same Cobra from the album "Hey Little Cobra", with #15 on the side, was also pictured in the March 1965 Ford Times issue.

Wayne Grey
I know this really isn't the greatest site to track down a Cobra, but it would be neat to know where Carol's present ended up. It did have the 2 narrow racing stripes on it.
