2006 GT-H on Hot Rod Power Tour

Recommended Posts

Did anyone on this board Take their GT-H on the 2012 Hot Rod power tour? I just got mine out of storage after a 2 year hiatus and could not participate in the tour myself. I did however run up to a local burg with it to watch the tour come through and on my way home on M-57 ( The leg of the tour that went from Milford MI to Muskegon MI on Sunday ) I passed a GT-H with the tour. We flashed our lights at one another and waved. This was the first time I have passed or seen another GT-H on the road up here in Michigan other than mine. There are not too many of these in our state last i knew so I was just curious about CSM Number and where they were from, etc, etc. I did'nt happen to see the license plate so i don't know if they were in staters or out of staters.

James, It was me you saw on the Hot Rod Power Tour. I would have never remembered the road, but I did flash my lights and wave. This was my 4th Power Tour with the car. I have owned #027 for about 4 1/2 years now and I bought it in California when I lived in Ohio. Had it there for a year which was where I went on my first Power Tour. Then we moved back to California. It was wild seeing you come down that long straight away. We could see each other for a long while and understood what was happening, 2 GT-H's passing each other..I've seen maybe 3 other GT-H's ever so it was cool to see you on the Tour in the middle of BFE..The California plate on the car is X RENTED.. I had RENTAL when it was in Ohio. I hope this clears up all your questions and maybe some time we can see each other and stop and talk. And maybe Kabal308 can add me to the list..

352 is no longer in Jersey. She resides in Illinois and loving it! Maybe this post will update the GT-H residences.

Sorry Harold we know you are busy.

Rett,

It was awesome to see you. the road we passed on was M-57. I live about 10 miles North of where we passed each other. I was on my way home taking a different route when I recieved a phone call from my mom stating she just saw a GT-H go thrru the intersection of M-57 and M-52 in Chesaning MI. That is where we were sitting at before i left for home. I figured it was a false alarm. When we were sitting there earlier in the day she said theres a GT-H. When I looked up it was a Edge bodystyle Mustang that was Black with gold stripes. LOL. I turned around and headed back towards you guys just thinking maybe theres a chance she was right. I am glad I turned around as who knows when / if ever that opportunity will present itself again to me. Coming back against the grain of power tour traffic, I do not know how many headlight flashes and thumbs up I got from other Shelby owners. A Lot of people don't know what our cars are. Everything coming towards me that had a snake on the grille flashed their lights and waved. It was a pretty neat experience. I was going to drive over to the Muskegon stop but my nephew was graduating high scholl that day so I had to go. I have owned my car for 4 to 4 1/2 years as well. It has about 20,000 miles give or take. It was rented out of LAX Airport. I bought it from a dealer at the southern end of Indiana. Love the car but don't drive it much. Sorry for the delay in my reponse time. I thought I was subscribed to this thread but I guess I was not.
