Fuel Filter Change

Hello

 

I was wondering how much work it is to change the fuel filter? I know its under the backseat to start with.

Any info would be appreciated.

The fuel filter is not inside the car. It is located beneath the car, under the plastic tube shield along the drivers side. A little forward of the drivers seat area.

 

Not difficult to change. It takes longer to remove and reinstall that plastic shield than to swap the filter.

 

In the 2007-2009 Shelby GT500 section there is a pinned topic on changing the fuel filter. The first post has all the instructions as PDFs.

If you don't want to bother with it the dealer does it in the same place they do the oil changes. In and out in 20 min for about $60.

I have a 2010. I thought there was a door that opens under the backseat.

It has been a couple months since I've had the back seat out of mine, but I do not recall a door. If there is an access door, for sure it is not for the fuel filter.
