leadfoot 5.4 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Share Posted May 4, 2012 My KR Alkies always had a slight hi speed shimmy,even after having them balance from the Dealer several times and alot of those stick on lead stripps on the inside it still shook.. I finally had the tires match balanced on a special balancer that puts a load on the tire/ rim assy. it has a cutter that scuffs the tire. its called accubalance... that took care of my problems ...After sending out the rears to Weldcraft for a 11inch stretch, the rims seems perfect, they both balanced with no added weights, the tire tech told me that he had never seen this happen in his 27 years as a tire tech. My hats off to Weldcraft... The surgery cost a shinney penny, but well worth the expense and wait.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
