carman Posted April 28, 2012 Report Share Posted April 28, 2012 If I have the numbers correct, the just released EPA gas mileage estimates for the 2013 GT500 not only are measureably better than the ZL-1 Camaro but are also better than the Camaro SS. I understand the gearing has alot to do with it but I also wonder if the EPA test protocol (and Ford ECU programming) keeps the engine out of boost so they are essentially testing a 5.8 liter 32 valve naturally-aspired V-8 for gas mileage purposes.
