flo
I have 4 new tires for the track PIRELLI P ZERO CORSA SYSTEM 255/40R19 Directional and 285/35R19 Assymetric the same as the 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca. The tread wear of these tires is only 60. My OEM wheels are white powdercoated so I prefer to get new rims to go to the track and I prefer to stay with 19" wheels. I found the Ford Racing Boss 302 Laguna Seca and the RTR wheels. What do you think about these wheels ? not too strange to get Boss 302 Laguna Seca wheels or RTR on a Shelby GT500 ?!? Do you think I could find other 19" wheels ?
NMAv
I like the first set better than the second, both are nice. Wheels are like wives, everyone likes different ones for different reasons and if you can afford more than one, go for it (wheels, not wives). What color is your car? I like the darker wheels on darker cars, lighter on lighter.
MMcGuirk
I have RTRs on my 350 - they are wider 19x9.5, have a better offset and are lighter by far.
flo
Yes I know .... you're right... everyone likes different ones for different reasons So pictures are very welcome. My GT500 is kona blue with white stripes ! Most of the car is dark but the large stripes are light !!!
cluscher
Some people say the offset on the RTR is no good with a 285 on the rear. I saw MMcGuirk's car at the bash and they fit perfect. A nice squared setup with 285s and a light attractive wheel. It's a great economical way to go in my opinion. Obviously the 255s will also work on this wheel up front. flo
The standard OEM 19" wheels are 19x9.5 with 45mm offset and 7.125" backspacing (not sure about the backspacing) The Boss 302 Laguna Seca are 19x9" front with 47mm offset and 6.69" backspacing and 19x10" rear with 47mm offset and 7.4" backspacing. The front wheels have a 4mm more inner clearence and retract by 8mm outer position. The rear wheels have a 8mm less inner clearence and extend an extra 4mm outer position. The RTR wheels are 19x9.5" with only 33mm offset and 6.5" backspacing The wheels have a 12mm more inner clearence and extend an extra 12mm outer position. In both case the tires are the same 255/40R19 and 285/35R19. The car has the lowering Ford Racing dampers and springs -1.25". Do you think the RTR will be safe with my car ? Do you some pictures of the wheels on Mustang/Shelby ?
flo
I'm still hesitate between the Ford Racing Laguna Seca Wheels and the RTR wheels.... The RTR wheels extend the outer position an extra 12mm. Will it be OK for a track application ?
flo
Too scared to buy the RTR with a wrong offset (My car has the -1.25" Ford Racing lowering springs)... I'm living in France. I bought the Boss 302 Laguna Seca Style. I would prefer the RTR wheels but the reason makes me buy the Ford Racing Boss 302 wheels for the offset. I have the PIRELLI P ZERO CORSA SYSTEM tires... same tires as the Boss 302 Laguna Seca... I will give you my feedback later.

Do you some pictures of the wheels on Mustang/Shelby ? Sorry I got busy in Socal this past weekend with two events and did not get a chance to reply. My car is low, FRPP "K" springs ( 1.5" in the front) The RTRs fit perfectly. I have tracked it twice with this set up and it works great. flo
Now I understand why I was scared to buy the RTR wheels, my rear axle wasn't well align. I had my left rear wheel more outside than the left one and I check the fitment only with the left one ! I do another wheel alignment now I think that the RTR will fit. Thank you for your help and also to Michael for the pictures but the Boss 302 Laguna Seca Style were already bought. Here some pictures of the wheels with the Pirelli P ZERO CORSA tires on my car. biglou
Hi guys, I want to have the rear RTR's widdened 2'' to accept a set of 335-30-19 NT-05's. Does anyone have or heard anything about doing this? I know many widden the stock wheels by 2'', so these should work better because of the increased back spacing. Any thoughts would be appriciated..
