ewahlin Posted March 13, 2012 Report Share Posted March 13, 2012 Washed the car today and was real dismayed to see the amount of pitting going on behind the front wheels on the plastic rocker panel trim and paint near the front of the GT-500 rocker stripe. The car has only 2000 miles. I guess it is not surprising considering how sticky the F1 tires are. It sounds like I am driving on dirt roads sometimes even though it is pavement. The tires pick up a little of dirt/pebbles. I have never driven on any dirt roads so far Going to look into installing some front wheel well flares. It would have been nice if Ford did something similar to the front wheel well like they did to the back. Anyone have any suggestions.? I assume others have had this problem. Thanks.
