TNTchris
I am looking to replace my shelby performance mufflers with some Magnaflow's axle back mufflers to improve the sound. I am planning on going with part #16793. My fears are that I am going to swap these out and they are going to sound close to the same. But I am going to be out the dollars? Does anyone have these installed on their SGT? Who makes these performance mufflers that are on our cars now? Thanks for your help! stewarbc
TNTChris, I think 16793 are Magnaflow MagnaPacks. Those are good mufflers, however, I researched for a loooooooong time and listened to many before choosing these below. I do like the tips on the Magnapacks as they are closer to looking like the Shelby tips on the stock mufflers. Also, I believe the stock Shelby GT mufflers are Ford Racing M5230-GTA. http://www.teamshelb...__fromsearch__1 Edited February 24, 2012 by stewarbc
mywickedshelby
You should consider these.......guaranteed to sound better than your stock SGT mufflers.......I have them on my car and love them! http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php/topic/68723-difference-between-mac-and-mac-mms-axle-backs/

Bushmaster
I had the MagnaFlow axleback on my '05 GT and I liked the sound a lot. I thought it was about the perfect amount of loudness for the mostly-stock car.....noticeably louder than stock but not extremely loud. I've got a thing about stock cars with very loud exhaust.......the exhaust note advertising something that the drivetrain can't back up, so to speak. So the MagnaFlows worked great for me. Easy installation, too, and they looked great.

TNTchris
Guys I received my Borla S type exhaust part #11750!!! However I have having trouble with installing the one of the exhaust. The right side went great but the the left side one of the hangers is to long and rubbing the back of the inside of the rear bumper? It is about 1/2" to long? Do I trim it, call Borla, say screw it and send them back? They shouldnt be this hard, just two hangers on each exhaust and a clip? Your alls imput would be appreciated? Thanks Chris
07SGTC
Sounds like you will have to trim off the excess. Just make sure enough goes through the hanger. Also take a look at the KR muffler topic. Good info there same issue with install.
JT93
I had to do the same thing when I ordered my new mufflers, just trim a little off the end. That's exactly what would happen if you sent them back.
