tdshelby Posted February 19, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 19, 2012 My son and I happen to be in Vegas right now, and just spoke to the receptionist at the gift shop (her name slipped my mind) and Juan who gave the tour today. I hinted that we would like to meet some of the others at SAI such as Sharon and Robert Lane etc. when we come down for the Bash next month. We can't. So we came down this month too. LOL Wife has business trip so we tagged along. We will be driving down to the BASH early so that we can meet at SAI Tues. drive out to Gardena and meet the folks from the Pacific Region and Wed. conga line back to Vegas. Looks like about 80 cars so far!! My son is a great photographer as you can see on this string, and will be shooting video and stills at the Bash. We have 2 track days scheduled. tdshelby Posted February 19, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 19, 2012 Arrived in Vegas yesterday with the family. Son and I were at Shelby and took museum tour. Shop tour not offered Sat. Juan at SAI did a great job on the tour and we had a chance to talk a while afterward. Everyone there was great. Sat in a 50th Anniversary GT500 at the Shelby museum. Juan started it up for me, but still like the sound of my KR the best!! (posted pic) A new exotic car track just opened up across the street from Shelby, you can drive an exotic for a price between $200-500 on a short track in the corner of the parking lot at Las Vegas Motorspeedway. Looked fun and the sound of the cars is amazing. PLEASE KEEP THE LIKES GOING ON FACEBOOK FOR THIS PHOTO CONTEST OF MY SON'S, HE'S IN FIRST PLACE BUT BY ONLY 5 VOTES. RPM will do a write up about our KR sometime in the future. He has put a few other photos of the car in the write up. He is coming with me to the bash and bringing his photographic equipment and should get some terrific shots of all the great cars there.
