GT350conv
http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp?action=submit Stumbled on this site earlier today when searching for replacement 20" Ford Explorer tires. Simply input your OEM tire size and select up to (4) alternate tire selections. Compares all the critical size and speed information you'll need. SVTPP rear tire is copied below but not sure why is says "Rim width range is unrecognizable" Tire Size Calculator - tire & wheel plus sizing Your Results: Start Over Stock Tire - 285/35R20 Search Tires Tire 1 - 285/40R20 Search Tires Tire 2 - 295/35R20 Search Tires Tire 3 - 305/35R20 Search Tires Tire 4 - 305/30R20 Search Tires Section Width: 11.22 in 285 mm Section Width: 11.22 in 285 mm Section Width: 11.61 in 295 mm Section Width: 12.00 in 305 mm Section Width: 12.00 in 305 mm Rim Diameter: 20 in 508 mm Rim Diameter: 20 in 508 mm Rim Diameter: 20 in 508 mm Rim Diameter: 20 in 508 mm Rim Width Range: Unrecognized tire size. creilly333
So, when I compare these two calculators for the rear tires on my GT500 SVTPP they both give different results. The tire is 285/35 ZR20. According to one calculator the revs per mile is 724 and the other it's 746.8. What could I be doing wrong here? GT350conv
It appears that the rimsntire calculator rounds off for the calcuation. Example on the SVTPP 285/35/20 outside dia. is 27.9" = 723.9 revs/mile. The 1010tires calculator uses a more accuate number of 27.85" = 746.8 revs/mile.
