CMG
What works good to restore the look on the matte black stripes? My car is a year old and has only been washed. No wax. My stripes are starting to look chalky in places.
rocky
try turtle wax black ice it might do the trick, but you should keep a coat of wax on your car anyway
CMG
I was kind of afraid to wax the stripes. Normally a matte or flat color will streak or get chalky when waxed.
mullens
Use Chemical Guys spray detailer. No wax in it and makes them look new. I wouldn't wax them either. It may look nice at first but it will haze over time. It would be like waxing the plastic trim.

mrfarmdog
I use ice synthetic (clear) wax on my stripes. Gives them a slight sheen and no wax buildup on them.
