Frank S
Some interesting cars and people in these newly released photos from1964 SCCA Green Valley and Austin Texas races. Mr Shelby shows up within the first ten or fifteen percent, along with a Grand Sport Corvette with a Terlingua sticker! Several Cobras and a few Ford-engined sports racers in the mix, as well as plenty of production racers and some formulas as well. Seems to me I saw a Bizzarini GT and a Studebaker coupe. Seems to me the number 00 car (the one with the Cortina rear lights) might be a Lola GT, precursor of the GT40. Some 1967 Trans-Am images by the same photographer include Jerry Titus in the Shelby Mustang.

sportscars
Great pictures! Love the GrandSport with the TRT sticker on it B) The dates listed are interesting as Bill said the logo was applied to a car for the first time at GVR in Feb of 1965, not 1964. Frank S
I was pretty certain the Vette/Sticker date was wrong, but hesitated to contradict a Web source (joke).
