gearhed31 Posted December 20, 2011 Report Share Posted December 20, 2011 I'm new to the GT500's, but not new to Mustangs. Finally pulled the trigger on a new 2012 GT500, Kona Blue w/silver stripes. Flying to Detroit on Wednesday morning and driving it back to the Cincinnati area. I had been looking for a lightly used 08/09 KR, but once I started thinking about it, thought I might be hesitant to actually drive a KR for fear of it getting dinged, chipped, etc. Anyway, here are a few pics: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Had a flight delay initially and then some rainy and foggy weather on the drive back, so I took my time trying to get familiar with the car. I tried to vary my speed and RPM's when possible. The first 5 miles in "transport" mode were quite surprising at how sluggish the car was !! I can already tell I'm going to love this car, it drives completely different than my Boss. Already thinking of mods and I've only had it home for about 12 hours now !!! Also, had a great experience in buying the car from Avis Ford in Southfield,MI. No hassles, straight forward, no BS on the entire transaction. I'll post up some pics once I have it all cleaned up in the next several days. I haven't driven mine since the day I got it home, way too busy at work and the weather has been bad with too much salt on the roads.
