TopCat501 Posted November 3, 2011 Report Share Posted November 3, 2011 enough of the arguing . . . . . they all go fast which is the important part . . . . . . back to topic below is the most "beans spilled" I could find from someone who attended the dealer preview show early last month; although a GT500 was not shown it probably gives an indication of what to expect. I saw a 2013 mustang including a boss, but not a gt500 . . . . . . yes, the rear lost a lot of plastic and is blacked out with outlined LED taillights. the fascia is different but the boss they were all facing outwards so i didn’t get a good look at the actual bumper cover, just the taillights when they drove off stage. I am eagerly waiting for the L.A. show to see the "13" but I heatr the shelby wont be there. So if orders are to open up in DEC. When will we see and know photos and specs. I mean are we supposed to just order blindly? I cant stand the wait because I'm waiting for the '13' , if its not all that so i can pick up a '12' i have a feeling thats what will happen, if the '13' looks are not appealing the 12's wil sel quick. So judge for yourself if the changes will carryover to the GT500 I don't understand why Ford would choose to not show the GT500 at the show; I can understand not wanting to disclose HP/TQ numbers, but if the exterior changes are a home run why not show it as soon as possible? ? ? Nah - they just want to sell the "must have the latest" types multiple cars. First they show the base GT 5.0, everyone runs out to be the first on the block with one. From what I know, the GT500 will not look like the 10-12, nor will it look like the 07-09. So there New front end as well Have you been reading these forums? Most of the bashing are from the insecure 2007-09 owners taking cheap shots at the better looking and performing later car. They will find something to bash on the 2013 car too. Just watch. Other than the tail end of the 10+ cars it is has a decent agressive style. If they can fix the rear up on the 13+ I'm sold. I've always liked the 07-09 styling. Yes with the strong retro styling it is gettting dated quickly but, it doesn't have much that I do'nt like about it other than the grille vents (I would have prefered the concept hood vents). All rectangled like the 05-09 Mustangs except smaller and with LEDs Either way whether the finished product's tail lights look like those in the spy shots or what I think they should look like, it is still a bit improved over the 10-12 model lights. More straight across and not with a silly sort of break/zig zag in the lines. For more photos on the mustang's spy shots along with its BUTT! Look at the autoblog article. The 10-12 lights were controversial from the start, rest of car looks great. Read a magazine from when they were introduced. Some liked it some don't.
