sprint200
I had tried to find a way to convert the fog lights on my '07 GT500 to brake duct inlets; only to end up with very functional but ugly openings. I had seen svttim's car a few times and liked the looks of his brake duct inlets; so when I picked up the new car from Rehagen Racing, I asked them what they used. I was surprised by their answer: "sanitary sewer pipe". Now I had been to the big box home improvement store to try every available PVC fitting that I could; but nothing fit this opening. But I hadn't tried the thin-walled piping. So this is what we get from the factory: I removed the fog light and started to carve away at the light fixture mounting Here is the opening with all of the excess plastic trimmed away I cut a 3.5" long section of the thin-walled PVC pipe and bevelled the leading edge, and painted the inside surface flat black: Then I pressed the PVC into the fascia opening Here is what the finished product looks like Next is to install the Boss302S brake duct plates and then the ducts themselves.
