TS-PCR "Snakes at the Lake" Tahoe Cruise & Car Show - Saturday 9/10/11

Now that a record Sierra snowpack has finally melted away and warmer weather has arrived, we've rescheduled our great escape to Tahoe on Patriot Day weekend for a laid-back local Car Show and tasty BBQ. The summer crowds will have left the lake and we have a unique venue to share as invited guests at Kings Beach State Park. We hope everyone that originally planned to attend on June 25^th can now join us for this post Labor Day event. All "Blue Oval" performance Ford vehicles and related car club members are invited to attend.

We'll gather Saturday morning in Old Town Sacramento on Front Street starting at 8:00am and saddle-up no later than 8:45am for our non-stop cruise up I-80 through the foothills, over Donner Summit into Truckee and past Northstar on Hwy 267 as we make our way to Kings Beach on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. Please have a near full tank of fuel on board as we leave Sacramento for this 2 hour+, 120 mile+ uphill cruise. A Chevron station is located immediately across the way from our location in Kings Beach for refueling. Other gas vendors are located within blocks.

Upon arriving at the Kings Beach lakeside parking facility just before noon, we'll stage our vehicles in a designated "Shelby" section and get the party started. A charity BBQ will be served by the NTPUD for the local car show attendees. Following the event at 3:30pm, if time allows we may do a photo-op at Lookout Point above Incline Village like we did last year.

RSVP's and pre-payment are required for this event so we can anticipate parking layout and how many meals will be needed. Please use the PayPal link below to facilitate this transaction. When your payment is confirmed, this will be noted on the roster below. This event will only be canceled if significant rainfall is forecasted for the day. 24-hour notice would be provided (by 8:00am Friday 9/9).

Cost for attending the event is:

· $25 for each vehicle, which includes facility rental, park entrance fees, driver's lunch and refreshments.

<br/>

· $10 for each additional passenger to cover lunch and refreshments.

The Snakes board will remain open for cruise reservations through at least Labor Day (if not a day or two longer). HOWEVER, if we're going to do an event T-Shirt, we'll need to have our order in no later than the later part of August if we expect to have them on 9/10 in Old Town Sac.

Last year we took Hwy 89 (I think) on the way back, it's a gorgeous ride. We get up early Sunday, have breakfast and head out. You are welcome to join us....... :happy feet:

I just sent some money via paypal. Can't wait to roll with you all again! I was over HWY 50 last weekend and the new pavement is "exquisite" over the pass. I also drove home 89 south to 88 through Jackson and that route is pretty dang nice as well.
