bandit67
OK Colorado Shelby owners. NASA (National Auto Sport Association) Rocky Mountain Region is hosting a track weekend at High Plains Raceway in Byers, CO on Sat & Sun, Aug 20 & 21st. I attended my first NASA event over July 4th weekend at PPIR and had a blast. Word is that just a few years ago, there were very few Mustangs out at the local tracks, but last weekend, we had a very good contingent of Mustangs & Shelbys. If you've been thinking about getting your car onto a track to see what it can do, but been a little hesitant due to potential safety and inexperience issues, then consider signing up for the HPDE1. You'll get an instructor in the passenger seat to help share their vast experience with you so you can better handle your car on the track. You'll be amazed at how quickly your on-track driving skills improve with the guidance of an experienced driver. Best part is that with every event, more and more Mustangs are filling the tracks, and as your experience & abilities grow, you'll be set loose on the track solo. I've had quite a few local Shelby owners tell me last spring that they wanted to get out to some track events, so here's your chance to get out and have some unforgettable weekend fun in your car. Best of all, it's fun to see the occasional BMer owner mouthing off about our Shelbys and Mustangs terrible handling, then trying like heck to keep up with them. More info here: http://www.nasaproracing.com/event/1196 Keep us posted if you sign up. Let's get more Shelbys out at this event than we had at the last one!
