bmx_20055
well have had the stock 3.31 gears for awhile and dont like them was thinking of going with 4.10 gears what do you guys think of this with the x charger rootsytle supercharger with 14psi of boost..my car currently made 348hp 359tq with 15 degrees of timing and was thinking of getting the boost the pump to allow 17-19 degrees of timing since i tried 17 degrees of timing and the stock fuel pump was scavenging since there is not enough fuel flowing so hopefully the boost the pump fixes this and allows us to get the 30hp in her as told by my tuner my aside from bragging rights i have a pending race at the edinburg race track here in texas with 2002 z28 camaro 6.0 with slp lid, pacesetters shorty headers, small baby cam 220,magnaflow exhaust,3.73 gears,dynotuned...how do you guys think the fellow sixxer stacks up...mods on my shelby cs6 are x charger xtreme 2.6 pulley with K&N intake, dual gt take off mufflers with h pipe, catless with jba shorty headers,3.31 gears, tuned with 15 degrees timing on 93 octane if i add the 4.10 gears and kennebell boost a pump to allow 17-19 degrees of timing allowing me to gain 30hp making my new dyno numbers 378hp 399tq what do you guys think is the outcome
popeye010
That's pretty lofty numbers for an x charger. Almost unobtainable. That will be a really good race though. Should be very even. I would opt for the 410's though. If you are on the stock T5 trans you are on borrowed time. The 4.0 is pretty rugged and i really enjoyed mine. It had a Gt500 blower mated to it from a custom manifold. Was a lot of fun. If you are not already i would join mustangcollective.com as they has the best and pretty much the only tech on the 4.

popeye010
With a quality tune and good gas the x charger is nearly bullet proof. Guys have put over 100k hard miles on the 4.0 with the x charger and they are still strong. Have fun
07SGT4578
IMO you should get twin 500 pumps and don't waste your money on a boost a pump. I would also be careful with that timing and boost on the stock 4.0 internals. Seems the pistons like to break. Hopefully some of the bunny owners will see this and can shed some knowledge. UK PONY
The key thing is to make sure your tune is dead on...detonation is the enemy of our fragile piston rings. Not sure how the x-charger compares to the Paxton but the HP numbers don't seem unreachable. If you're looking for max HP then forged internals and stage 3 heads should be on your wish list. Good luck in your drag race.
bmx_20055
thank guys that amount of timing was achieved by adding the 3 quart coolant tank from roush which they sell at vmptuning for $99 and the goal was if we could get a 12flat at most on a stock bottom end 4.0 the boost the pump seems to be working really well for now but dont plan to push the 4.0 but your right i was surprised the x charger intercooled with a 2.6 pulley made those numbers by just tweaking a bit the timing by having enough cold air temps with a tad more coolant
