Please RSVP to the below instructions if you can make it! Make sure an fuel up before you come. Ends in historic Cripple Creek. Why not stay in Cripple Creek on Saturday night. Would make a great escape weekend if you would like to make it one! “POKER RUN” LET’S HAVE FUN WHILE TAKING A BEAUTIFUL DRIVE FOR A DAY OF FUN AND FOOD Cripple Creeks Bronco Billy’s Casino (www.broncobillyscasino.com) Date: July 16, 2011 (Saturday) Time: 9:00am Start Location: Southwest corner of Parker Road (Hwy 83) and Twenty Mile Road in Parker (Parking lot between Kohls and Chili’s) We will be leaving @ 9:30a (Please get there early to get your Poker hand sheet, your 1st card and your driving directions) (Please bring small bills!!!) There will be 5 cards drawn before entering Cripple Creek. When you get to stop 5 you will draw for your 5th card, we will then caravan to Bronco Billy’s Casino in Cripple Creek. You will be able to purchase additional cards for your hand(s) when you get to the casino (see Rick) on the 2nd floor Baja Billy’s (Mexican Food). Set Odometer – (0) miles Take right out of shopping center onto Twenty Mile Road. Continue East over Parker Road (Hwy 83) turns into Hilltop. You will see a light at Tallman Road. Turn left at next light (Hill Top) continue East passing light at Canterberry Parkway. You will see Legend High School on left. Odometer reading @ (6.5) miles Hill Top will curve right – go straight – turns into Flintwood. Continue South to Odometer reading @ (12.5) miles Hwy 86 turn right, then take a quick left onto Deerfield Road. Continue on Deerfield Road Southwest to Odometer reading @ (14.7) miles Stop sign at Russellville Road turn left (South). Continue on Russellville Road to (Pass Pine Valley Dr. – the road to Bob and Ronnie Hassett Home for August 2011 Picnic.) Odometer reading @ (22.4) miles Stop sign – Hwy 83 go left (South) to Odometer reading @ (32.9) miles Palmer Divide Road – turn right (West) (Palmer Divide will be your next road on right past Lorraine Road) Continue on Palmer Divide Road to Odometer reading @ (34.9) miles Roller Coaster Road – turn left (South) (it will be 2nd entrance to Kings Deer Subdivision) Odometer reading @ (37.1) miles To 3rd stop sign – Road 105 – turn right (west) to _____________________________________________________________________________________ Stop 2 – See Mick Yelvington for your 2nd card. Odometer reading @ (42.8) miles Woodmoor Drive pick up next card in parking Lot on the left. Proceed West to I-25 turn left (South) on to I-25 (South) to Garden of the Gods Road (Exit 146) ,turn right (west) Odometer reading @ (58.5) miles To 30th Street, turn left (South) (30th will be the 9th light – Garden of the Gods sign) to _____________________________________________________________________________________ Stop 3 – See Rick Pretzel for your 3rd card. Odometer reading @ (60.9) miles At Garden of The Gods Visitor and Nature Center on left side (can enter parking lot and exit at the other end – go left). Get back on 30th Street proceed left (South) to Odometer reading @ (61.2) miles W. Fontanero Street turn right (West) to stop light South to 31st Street, turn left to Hwy 24 (cross Colorado)take Hwy 24, right (West to Woodland Park) proceed to _____________________________________________________________________________________ Stop 4 – See Mick Yelvington for your 4th card in Woodland Park. Odometer reading @ (76.6) miles Turn right into McDonald’s Parking Lot. Pick next card in parking lot between McDonald’s and Sonic. Continue right out of Sonic on to Hwy 24 to Hwy 67 (South) to Cripple Creek (Gas station before Hwy 67 S) Odometer reading @ (84.3) miles Turn left at Hwy 67 (South) Cripple Creek 18 miles of curves & beautiful views DRIVE SAFE AND ENJOY! _____________________________________________________________________________________ Stop 5 – See Gene Lessar for your 5th card. Odometer reading @ (101.3) miles At the Pikes Peak Heritage Center, turn right high on the hill. _____________________________________________________________________________________ We will all caravan into Cripple Creek together.
