SteelTownStang
Roush Extreme Cat-Back Exhaust + PHRP H-Pipe = AWESOME! Upon experimenting with several exhaust systems, I elected to go with the Roush Extreme Cat-Backs back in October: http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/61404-exhaust-roush-extreme/page__p__1045578__hl__roush__fromsearch__1#entry1045578. While it sounded amazing, it still seemed to lack a deeper tone that I desired. I friend of mine has a Roush 427 with the same exhaust, but his set-up sounded better than mine. The only difference was that he had the factory H and I had the X, but would that change the tone so dramatically? While wanting to maintain the cats I thought about trying Shelby’s or PHRP’s H-pipe. Based on the aforementioned, the good reviews on the H set-up for the KRs, as well as the 11/12 GT500s, and consulting with Wes (PHRP), I elected to go with the PHRP H-pipe. While I was apprehensive about cutting out my X-pipe, the installation was simple (check out grabber’s thread for detailed instruction: http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/41998-my-h-pipe-and-kr-mufflers-sound-clip/page__p__686943__hl__h-pipe__fromsearch__1#entry686943). The connections are solid and leak free with an OEM-like appearance. Conclusion: I cannot believe that this simple change has made such a dramatic difference in the exhaust tone. It is deeper, throatier, and meaner… It now sounds better than my friend’s Roush; and no drone. This is, without question, the best sounding exhaust that I’ve ever heard. Wow, the price went up!!! PHRP/Wes was selling them for $225.00 w/clamps as few weeks ago. I see that he has them on ebay for $325.00... Give him a call, maybe he'll offer a TS discount: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MUSTANG-GT-H-Pipe-W-Clamps-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem20b74a8a7bQQitemZ140514069115QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Hey Speedy... Occasionally... Caste Village, Waterfront, Mineral Beach, Vintage Grand Prix… The weather has been awful lately, so the car doesn't get out much. I live 10 minutes from Mineral Beach in Jefferson. Haven't been to any yet this year, thinking of Mineral Beach this Friday if it ever stops raining. I'd love to see those chrome Razors on a 500! They look really nice in your pics.
