07SGT
I have to ask where is the advantage supposed to come from? The amount of air that enters the tube is limited to the air cleaner and the tube leading from the air cleaner to the manifold. That initial opening restricts the amount of air to x cfm. So is the only advantage supposed to be a smoother flow or reduction in turbulence?

sgt1020
I can't imagine that the tube alone would add any power to a Shelby GT. Steeda claims a 9hp increase which equates to around 1RWHP gain, which of course, you will NOT feel by the seat of the pants. Not going to sit here and debate this, but the Steeda tube, especially the carbon fiber one, resists more heat, is very smooth inside and curves directly up to the throttle body unlike the bent stock rubber tube. At the end of the day, it's more of a looks thing, but it definitely "helps" breathability a little bit.
ilmor
Bear in mind that the Steeda HP gains are based on stock non-tuned Mustang GT.
SGT3477
http://mcmahons.us/thumbnails.php?album=63&page=1 installed the plain black one. i like it better than the stock hose ( which i will keep in safe storage ). i am going to have it painted gloss black to match the car and have the new SGT logo put on it...might be a little while but, ill post pics when that is done as well. SGT3477
well, i keep seeing this referred to as the "new" or "2nd generation" logo. as opposed to the one that tapers into the circular logo. http://www.championmustang.com/modern/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=4076&zenid=5981017c95cdf86b626f5ff7ec90c9e8 http://www.championmustang.com/modern/0509-shelby-gt-dash-cover-w-second-generation-shelby-gt-logo-for-cars-wo-center-gauge-cluster-housingbrmade-to-order-p-4076.html I have no idea if this is "official" or not, just hw i see it referenced as opposed to this one: http://www.americanmuscle.com/shelby-dash-cover-gt.html its to bad as the trunk logo is this http://lh6.ggpht.com/gerber814/SCvHmJI-bLI/AAAAAAAADL0/L6t2PsmAWyI/s400/gcemblem.jpg the dash mat logos are both different. i would like the gas cap, dashmat and the intake to all have This logo but, i couldnt find anyone to put This logo on the dashmat

The Shelby GT in my book isn't meant to wear the snake badge/emblem.

The one Champion Mustang is using on the dash mat is the "Tiffany Snake" that most associate with the current GT500, I have no idea why Champion Mustang has chosen to use the Tiffany snake and tie it to the SGT? Maybe they couldn't get a licenses agreement with Shelby to sell a dash cover with the 'S' snake?
REDTAIL
they talked about this before the S Snake belongs to Shelby and its copyrighted for some reason Champion has the right to use the tiffany snake and are selling parts for the SGT with that snake . i went to sema a few years ago and MGP offered me a set of caliper covers for both cars . and when they sent the ones for the SGT it had the tiffany snake i asked them about it and they said the S Snake was copyrighted and no one has the right to use that snake . that was a few years back not sure if things changed JIM
