Ipod Kit - BrandMotion

I purchased a similar device for my F-150 a couple of years ago from these folks http://pac-audio.com/Products.aspx?CategoryId=22 It's the PXAMG device that integrates the iwhatever to the factory radio through the aux switch. Yeah, you can control the ithing with the radio controls, but it ain't as easy as they say. My F-150 radio is pretty basic Ford (2005) but gives me artist, song, time info on the display. You can shuffle, ff, rewind, and, if you work hard at it, access various playlists, artists, genre, etc. Playing whatever comes up is easy and the info is cool, "controlling the ipod" or whatever you've got connected is a little different.

Would I do it again? Yes! I love having MY tunes in my car/truck. I've considered several times adding one of these to my GT 500.

Good Luck!

Interested here too. I've seen a number of options for adding Sync and a USB/IPod to a GT500, but every single one has said except cars with factory Nav.

There appears to be one of one with Nav too. Quite an extensive cabling harness - http://www.brandmotion.com/ipod/ipod-direct-connect/ipod-adapter-system-for-all-factory-sat-ford.html/

If anybody with Nav, has put this in, I'd be VERY interested in the results.

I've had the brand motion for a few years. Don't really use it too much anymore. It's just easier for me to use the aux in and use the ipod/iphone control. My biggest issue was that the unit resets every time you turn it back on. So you have to find your playlist all over and it plays it from the beginning again.

Installation was easy just follow the instructions. There are two connectors @ the bottom of the panel that you need to be carefully in disconnecting. You can't just pull them out. I posted some pics of those connectors, see the link below. There are couple pics showing how I routed the cable and how I mounted the Ipod (3GS) in the glove compartment. I like to be invisible.

Let me answer a couples questions

- You need to set up your Ipod so it will play the last song before you turn off the key

- Your Ipod will only charge if you turn on your car key

- You need to get additional cable adapter if you have iPod nano (Gen 4 and newer), iPod touch (Gen 2 and newer), iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 (you can see in pics toward end), see the link below
