In 2007 Ford introduced the banded TPMS on the Mustang.

They changed over to a valve mounted sensor for the 2010

model year which by the way are not compatible with the

'07-'09 model years.

I have the valve stem mounted TPMS in my 20" wheels and have not had any problems.

I may be strange, but when I changed out my tires/wheels, I didn't re-install TPMS. I live with the idiot light after hitting reset button every start-up.

It bothers me not at all. Part of Betsy's charm.

Everything I've read states that the 2007-2009 sensors only work for those cars, and the 07-09 TPMS system is not compatible with the 10-11. :headscratch:

Are you using the OEM Ford sensors?
