Painted Coil Cover... Pics

Recommended Posts

I was bored today and decided to paint my coil covers. I was planning to have them powder-coated… then just painting them all red… then red w/white letters… then polished... etc.

I wanted them to look OEM and not overbearing. While contemplating I noticed the SVT emblem that I had installed on my radiator cover and decided to match it. Some tape, sand paper, paint, and voila. I’m satisfied… for now.

Looks good. It was warm enough to get the Shelby some excersise so took her for a long cruise. Now I'm going to put the KR sills on her.

Great Photos. :happy feet:

Nice job! Post pics when done w/your SC...

Thanks!! Yours look great as well. Hopefully I will be able to finish it up this weekend. Not as easy to do as the covers because of all the stuff in the way.

Thanks. Actually, I used a small foam roller... You can see it in the 2nd pic. I used a brush to touch-up/finish... I worked fast ensuring that the paint remained wet to help it self-level giving it a "sprayed-like" appearance. The roller worked great, hitting just the top surface of the letters.
