Another wrecked 40th

Recommended Posts

Someone once said occasional drivers need to drive these cars more often to get a real feel for what they can and can't do. Cobrafan said, ''If you are an occasional driver and get on it in the wrong way, you are in trouble immediately''. Once I get my new daily driver ( CO Boss) I will finally gain experence on how to drive the 40th. I'm really good after four years at sounding like an FI car racing while being parked in the garage.:shift::hysterical: I think this is around the 11th wrecked 40th that we know about, which would be around 5% of all 40ths. This number must be higher than average for any model.:headscratch:

Guys,

I'm almost certain this is the 40th that was at Quantum. The owner was fighting to try to keep the insurance company from totaling the car and he was going to rebuild. Quantum believes it can be rebuilt, but it looks like the price is going to be to high. I think this one is toast for good.

The car is in bad shape at best, roof is buckled.

Geez, don't say that too loud or the insurance companies will have an excuse to raise our rates.

My Insurance company likes me because I do all my formula 1 driving in the garage with CD turned way up with a drink in hand. :beerchug:

With an occasional trip across the Bridge thrown in for good measure :speedie:

The trip made right after tweaking the SC. :hysterical:

That one doesn't count on the 40th, it was only a test run with a police escort. :hysterical: Now on the other hand, when the Boss arrives I will drive it until the wheels fall off or til my ticker doesn't tick any more.

LOL, I think I can use that:

"But judge, I thought that was a police escort"

From the pictures I would say it is in Dallas. I am familiar with most of the salvage lots in San Antonio, Austin and Houston and this one doesn't look like any of those.

At first I thought it was an easy fixer from the front pics, then I saw the roof. Dont get me wrong, it can still be fixed - and fixed well, but that asking price is a bit on the high side. I wish him luck with the sale however.

The gauge pod doesn't suprise me at all. It is only held on with velcro. I have seen them come lose on a hot day at the track. :rant2:
