SoCalSGT Posted February 13, 2011 Report Share Posted February 13, 2011 It was a picture perfect day in San Diego; high 70's, not a cloud in the sky, the perfect type of day to culminate a year's worth of planning and careful preparation for a celebration of 100 years of Naval Aviation. NAS North Island featured a static display of over 100 planes, a fantastic car show and an open house of the aircraft carrier USS John C Stennis and a couple of her attendant ships. But the highlight was the fly-over of the multitude of vintage and current aircraft to which the crowds were treated. I thought some of you might enjoy seeing some of the sights that hundreds of thousands of San Diegans were treated to yesterday. Oh, and about the weather, yea, it's the same today!
