Lowering Kit GT500KR

Hey,

 

I would like to lower my GT500KR-2008, I have also ordered a new set of 20" Alcoa wheels. Any recommendations? Could I get away with only changing the springs?

Those will work to lower your KR some. I installed those same springs on my 07 GT500, with stock struts/shocks and they work just fine. I also installed an adjustable panhard bar in back and camber plates up front.

Another option is to just wait until you install those 20" Alcoas to see if you still want the suspension lower. If you go with larger tires, it may help to fill your wheel wells without further lowering.

What happened to your original question?

 

That's a good setup but you already have that same strut tower brace ... why pay for another one. Furthermore, the KR already has stiffer sway bars over the GT500 so what you have is fine. IMO, the adjustable shocks that come with that package are over-priced for what you get; you can do better with Tokico D-Specs or Koni Yellows. Just my 2 c.
