New Dyno, new numbers...

Recommended Posts

Okay,

Did two pulls on a Mustang Dynometer-

First run- 535 rwhp/ 427 torque

Second run- 537 rwhp/ 429 torque

Stock GT500s are running between 450-470 rwhp for baseline comparison for mustang dyno vs dyno jet. Figure 5% lower reading on this dyno.

I have changed out the driveshaft to the dss 3.5 aluminum one piece. Added almost 5% from my last session on this dyno.

Great numbers Warren. How many miles are on the car?

2492 miles when I brought it in to the garage. I tried getting a simulated 1/4 mile run just for show to the crowd we had there, but couldnt get a successful power shift because the clutch pedal is not returning fast enough to engage quickly. Its a known Ford issue covered under TSB.

Did I mention I am VERY VERY happy with how this car is holding up? I half expected maybe a little lower numbers considering the broken trac loc and the flogging we gave it on the track. No doubt the driveshaft changes translates to less drivetrain power loss, but we are talking 8 % or so better. Same dyno, same operator. Im one happy guy.
