The short answer is that everyone is in the same boat as you are. Vinyl stripes were a bad idea. Do not use the cleaning paste that the vinyl stripe maker offers. It only made mine worse. Most happy people have their stripes painted on. I am just letting mine the way they are until I get the desire and the dough to paint them.
