Because I hear a slight grind sometimes when I take off and let go of the clutch fast, not aggressive launch, just let go of the clutch fast. GT500Tow Posted January 7, 2011 Report Share Posted January 7, 2011 If you have an 09 with the stock ceramic twin disc. Its a very good clutch. Your right at the limit on HP it will take. Some did get 30K out of the stock clutch. Mine was gone at 10K. I ran slicks one time with a little over 600 HP and it was gone the first pass. I think i made three passes that night and went home. Because it was completely gone. I made it to the first store and called a wrecker. Luckily they had pizza. I bought one and waited outside on a bench till it arrived. Eating my pizza.... I hope it doesn't fail! I am just glad my car was produced in 09 and received the new clutch! LOL! What after market clutch would you recommend?
