shane42
Looking to do my first oil change, and it looks like just Motorcraft and Castrol have a 5-50w oil. Does anyone know who might also make a 5-50w?
jcthorne
There are at least a dozen motor oil threads active but to be helpful: RedLine has a 5W-50 that is highly rated in comparison to the MC, XOM and BP products.
Diablo750
Mobil 1 makes a 5W-50 which is what I use but it has to be ordered as most shops don't carry it.
Grabber
Another good old oil thread.

Had my Super Snake serviced this week in the UK The guy that serviced the car said he would recommend Mobile 1 10w 60 for this type engine he said it was the dogs bollicks of oil (LOL) Have any of you guys used it ? The cost was £150 or $240 for the oil alone The service cost was £217 or$347 biggest cost being the oil

He me to not deviate from the 5-50 as he was repairing a set of 5.4 heads as we spoke. He said they ran too thick of a oil and it didn't lube properly. And the pic of the Super Snake is probably one of the best shots I have seen. Nice
