Madlock
Could it be that Ford is limiting 2011 to even-fewer units than the 5,500 to which it had earlier pegged the model-year run? Perhaps something closer to 5,100? I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest it may be so.
ChrisSD
That would still be a lot. Weren't 09 and 10 lower?
SVT NAJA
That would still be a lot. Weren't 09 and 10 lower? 2010 Coupe production totaled 3532 "official" units and the Convertibles were close to 913 units, so a total run of just over 4400 units. I come up with 3545 for 2010 Coupes. How Ford chooses to distinguish between "official" vehicles and those written-off during production or produced for purposes other than retail sale isn't clear. Madlock, The 3532 number for coupes appears on the "official" certificates issued by Ford Performance Group (Ford Racing / SVT) and signed by Carroll Shelby and Edsel B. Ford ll. My understanding is the 3545 number includes 13 test mules and the like, but not retail units.

Madlock, Here is the link to obtain your certificate, but the 2011 MY Shelby GT500 version won't be available until probably June of next year. http://www.fordshowparts.com/store_contents.cfm?cart_id=01284422770111114100831044162220102511&store_id=1&dept_id=1137&product_id=6878
1 Alibi 2
As with anything on the web, take it with a grain of salt: . 2009 - Coupe = 3004 Vert = 555 KR = 571 . 2010 - Coupe = 3545 Vert = 913 . ............................& you'll have to wait till late Feb. or early March 2011 to get certification papers on the 2011 model year..( according to SVT )
