SGT/SC#0471 Posted June 9, 2011 Author Report Share Posted June 9, 2011 Nope Swede...car was waxed to the max...that was the roof stripes that Ford refused warranty on according to the dealer body shop who if they ever look in the same direction of my car again I am going to puke...seriously. Was totally clean in that picture. I will not be puting a 500 spliter on my car its lower than stock which was low due to my tires and wheels. I think that they look great on the SGT however, if not a little "boy racer" though... I am hoping to be done tomorrow sometime if my day gets over sooner rather than later...then I need to find a track day and have some fun.... If I wanted to restore a cars cosmetics it would not be an 07 model year... Still looking for factory white painted hood and trunk.... I'l post some pictures when I m done....Cheers! SGT/SC#0471 Posted June 11, 2011 Author Report Share Posted June 11, 2011 End results....few imperfections that you really have to look for but overall not bad for the first time I ever dealt with this stuff....scoop was real easy to get right. So yesterday was June 10th. I started screwing around with this Oct 31st in a way it was good to get this done...its's more my car now and I have bonded with it haha....actually it got the best of me more than once....so 1 hour after getting the car waxed I went to the Dragstrip for test and tune and did 10 passes...got a personal best by more than 4 tenths in this car. SGT/SC#0471 Posted June 14, 2011 Author Report Share Posted June 14, 2011 More: as you can see there is some distortion on two rivets...these bent over sideways and grabbed the inner edge even though the hole was enlarged there....IMO the rivets are way too long for the application the fix is to drill them out and replace those two....right now though I want to enjoy the car and DRVIE it...hahah Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thanks Sorry, have not been on the forum for awhile. Actually as I go over a high bridge with a strong headwind sometimes it moves LESS now... Seems it actually vents rather than scoops according to another member who did some grassroots aero testing on hwy. But I can confirm for sure that hood now moves around less, used to make me nervious how much it would buffet in that condition amd in fact one time hood was up on pins when I parked...
