Hood Scoop

I cut out the hood and put the Heath/Beck scoop on more for the functional "look". If our intake was located directly underneath the scoop or was otherwise connected to it somehow, I could see where it would make a difference because outside air is probably going to be at least a bit cooler than air under the hood. That being said, as it's set up now, at speed, nothing but BIG bugs penetrate the air dam created by the front of the car to enter the scoop. Rain drops don't even make it, unless the car is sitting still and they blow in! On the other hand, after shutdown, I can see and feel heat waves rolling out of the opening, so I know that it's at least allowing heat to escape, so in that respect, its functional!
