Gears while it is at shop?

Recommended Posts

BTW, the fact that the car is an automatic makes a lot of our advice here irrelevant.

Once I saw you post THAT, I thought, "OK, different game!"

I don't know how many people have done it with an auto, but I'd seek THEIR opinions, mainly.

The "hassle" of a short first gear when rowing yourself may mean nothing to someone with an auto.

4.10s may be perfect. And compensating in your tune for a gear change is now a MUST.

the man has a point, manual guys can skip first entirely if they choose to. cant do that with an auto.

And the shift points are controlled by the computer with knowledge of the gearing. This just got a lot more complicated.

....yeah i went through that with my first one. i recommend not messing with the shifting pressure when you change gears unless you have to. one of the guys in my club blew his transmission up cause he thought he'd be smart by turning the shifting pressure to max. that was a nice pretty repair bill im sure. :redcard:

EDIT: shifting pressure is different from shift point just to clarifie
