There is only .075 difference in backspacing between stock and these wheels if my info is correct. If I can get the lug nut problem solved I am going to try using them w/o spacers and see what happens. With the wheel installed finger tight you can just barely get a fingertip between the wheel and the strut. Hopefully the strut angles away enough that the tire won't make contact. High cornering loads may be a problem.

Push through caps will NOT work, not enough clearance. Will probably just run without (gonna have to do some painting on that back axle).

Wheels and lug nuts are going to the machine shop on Mon. to get modified. Will let you know how it turns out.

Still can't believe I'm going to be putting a BBS wheel in a mill! :club::redcard::ohsnap::hide:

Wheels are being machined now. Latest problems - when all is said and done studs may be too long in which case spacers will be mandatory (not keen on cutting off studs). Also, front tires will not work on these wider wheels so I will have to buy different tires for the front.

I am beginning to regret buying these wheels.

I just test fit my 302R wheels yesterday, it looks sick and everything fits correctly ( lock to lock), I went with the Rehagen set up ( spacer) and 295 / 40/ 18 on all corners. If it can stop raining here, I will get some pictures out to you. I have a track date set for May 24th for the final test. I went with Falcon 615K all around, I used this tire on my M3 last year and really liked them.

Anyways, it can be done without a bunch of headaches.

Here you go, I'm not great at the whole picture taking process, but they fit great and hook up really well, cornering is like being on rails. I will get you some more data once I can get some temperature into them on the track.

Stay tuned.

Here is the data I used to figure it out; the second line is the new wheel tire set up, first line is stock. The car will track poorly on old roads, but most road courses ( which is what I use them for) it should give me the meat I need to get me through the corners. I prefer a square set up on my cars, I find it settles the car. Once I figure out tire pressure with this set up it should be good.

Wheels are done, lug nuts should be done tomorrow, new tires came in today. Looks like I am going to have to figure out how to post pictures on here!

TRACREDY: So, you are not going to be driving this setup on the street? Did your wheels have decals? Two of mine did, two didn't. :headscratch:

I have been driving on the street for a week, frankly I prefer it, it really hooks up nice and it corners on rails. I think I like the look better than stock wheels. Funny about the stickers, I wish mine came with them, I liked the logo. Let me know if you get two more, I think I will call and see if I can get them for mine as well. Give me some feedback once you get the wheels on. What tires and what size did you settle on?

Tires and wheels are on car, drove it to Spring Fling in Brown County. Been raining so damn much really haven't had much of a chance to drive it. Put Nitto 555s on back, moved rear tires to front, running 285 40s all around. So far seems to be clearing everything but have not driven it hard. Turn in is amazing, reminds me of the funniest home video where the racing boat takes a sudden turn left and the people go flying out of the boat right.

Tracredy - call Eric at BBS 770-967-9574, 3028. He will get you some decals. You will need at least 12 since there is 3 per wheel. i have asked several people which they prefer (i have wheels with decals on one side, w/o on the other) and all but one said they prefer the decals.

You say you drive on the street but do you PARK on the street. If you do you have much more faith in your fellow man than I do!

When work slows down I will get pics and more info on here, right now am running 14 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Nice to see you are driving on them, I have the stickers on order, I will keep the # just in case my contact doesn't come good on his promise. I had the car on the track on the 24th of may, drove it hard and could not break it loose in the corners. I put the Eagle f1 / g2's back on, they suck in comparison, car does not hookup nearly as well as well with track set up. Get me some pics when you get a chance.

I would be interested in your feedback regarding the performance difference now that you both have saved 30-40lbs of unsprung weight vs the old stockers.

I have read the 1lb of unsprung weight is like 7-10lbs of sprung weight. If this is real you should have had a relative ballpark weight loss of 300lbs. This would have significant impact on track times, straight line performance etc.

Do you feel your car is now that much quicker???? If that is realized, the price of the wheels is a relative bargain compared to some of the other mods we do to "gain" 15hp here or there.

In theory this sounds good, but on the track it comes down to more confidence inspired driving. The car runs faster, smoother, the power gets power down properly and although the 2011 svt is no slouch out of the box, this makes a huge difference to how it all comes together.

On the street I can mash the throttle In second and it hooks up and goes, I can't do that in third gear with the stock set up.

In short, wether or not it's more power theoretically, the big one is the fact that you get to use all of the power available, with confidence.

I have not noticed anything that I can "definitely" say is due to the wheels as far as performance increases. They even take about the same or longer to clean.

At Mustang Ally I had some interesting conversations with Ford Racing personnel with regard to these wheels. They were somewhat surprised I was using them on the street. According to them they are not approved for street use and have not been tested for use on the street. They also had heard that BBS was considering coming out with a street version.

There were two race cars there with these wheels on them. They must be really hard on them because they looked terrible!
