drspa
On my 2010 supersnake the driveshaft has been making contact and the best I have been able to get for a answer is the aluminum drive shaft is larger and the frrp suspension is lower. I have researched a little and want to know if the Steeda adjusible upper control arm is the fix. Anyone have the same problem with there 750hp Shelbys, and if so can I get some advise. Thanks John
dbackg
Read this link: http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity&mid=11161&search_app=forums&userMode=content&sid=062dd2c138e7be19a00fc19b3ddae07c&st=100 I have the upgraded Shelby aluminum driveshaft on my SS. http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/57401-dbackgs-super-snake-vert-upgrades/ Raise and/or siffening the rear suspension seems like the only logical answer. My driveshaft still hits the body underside when I hit a good bump in the road.
bchorney
If I hit a big bump with passangers in the car my drive shaft will hit the tunnel as well. I have the Shelby - Eibach set up. Cheers Brett

Thanks John I installed the BMR anti-wheel hop kit on my SS and that alone stopped the drive shaft from hitting the tunnel. I can drive hard, on bumpy roads, with people in the back seat and the driveshaft has never hit the tunnel again. Install this kit and you will be pleased. dbackg
I believe Alex installed: Steeda part # 555-4105 on my girl. Steeda Adjustible rear upper 3rd link. Is the BMR adjustable? This has to be a more common problem with the larger drive shafts especially if one upgrades the rear tires to something really sticky. drspa
There seems to be a common denominator here, on the higher Hp Shelbys that have lowered suspension with a Aluminum driveshafts are having contact issues with the trans tunnel. I am glad and sorry at the same time that there is more than just myself who is having this problem. I have only had this car for 6 months and have had the speed shop in my area try to resolve this with-in the warranty. They re-torqued the suspension per Shelby's Tec guy and for a week or so it stopped. They sent new springs and bump stops, but I could not see that this would change a thing since these are the same parts that are only 6 month old. I like the thought process of the adjustable upper control arm, I am curious about the BMR kit as well. I will look into these fixes and am glad that I was able to get great advise. Thanks again John
