gioshelby
Should original aluminum covers for the 69-70 Shelby, have part numbers (SM2MS6A582A & B) cast into then. And should the notches around the bolts be squared off or rounded? About ten years ago, a reputable Shelby part dealer sold me a set of '' NOS '' covers . They don't have a part number that I can see and the notches are rounded. Also the clips for the ignition wires are not installed but are in the box. My old originals covers have squared off nothes ( similar to the notches I see on most Shelby valve covers shown in this forum) but I can't find a part number. Are both models correct, or was the rounded model a Ford replacement part? Thank you, for your help. Here are some pictures

Square notch is original assembly line the other is a later over the counter or repop. The original ones used on 69's would not have a part # in them.
