twobjshelbys
This is a pretty cool event - go as fast as you want on a public highway. Similar to the Sandhills race in Nebraska. When I was at the speed shop on Monday I saw a GT500 that did 191+MPH in the standing mile. Great looking car, still covered with dead bugs. There was also a Shelby GT that "didn't make it". I saw personal photos of the carnage. The driver missed the end of mile marker and overshot the end of the track and went into a curve at full speed. Went airborne and nose dived, then flipped. The driver was not seriously injured - thank goodness for pro class safety equipment.
