justindewoody
Hey guys...I'm buying some black powder-coated Alcoa SS Wheels...so obviously they will be 20x9 in the front and 20x10 in the rear. I would like to hear everyone's input on tires for these wheels. What would YOU choose? Please post suggestions with links and pictures please...I am still leaning toward the same ones I had on my 2010 with the same wheels...they were the BFGoodrich g-Force KDW New Tread in 285/30/ZR20 for the rear and 255/35/ZR20 for the front. They worked PERFECTLY and looked great...but I'm open to suggestions because there is always someone with a good idea...Thanks.
ShelbyGT/SC
I have the Nitto's but would recommend you stick with the BFG's.

08 Mustang
I am still very happy with the choice that I made to stick with the same sizes that come on the super snakes, 255/35/20 upfront & 275/35/20 out back. I know that these tires are more narrow than the stock 285/40/18's that come on the car, but because of the offset and being lowered, not sure what else to do. The only other thing that I've considered trying, besides having them widened by weldcraft wheels and going with a wider tire, is going with a 285/35/20 next time?? btw, those black SS wheels are sharp! ctozzi
i just ordered mine last week from cruzin concepts and went with this package: http://www.cruizinconceptswholesale.com/proddetail.asp?prod=05UPSUPERSNAKETOYOTIREWITHTPMS I had to wait on the phone for 20 minutes cause they were not aware Shelby was selling black powdercoated wheels. So I guess i was the 1st person through them. they are supposed to arrive 1st week of October. Mine is not a daily driver and just wanted what i had on the SS wheels I already have, as I am happy with the tire combo now. My setup has been sold to another Shelby user already. If you are not going to widen the rims, you've got the only good track tire in the sizes available unless you are willing to buy the Pirelli PZERO Corsa System (Pirelli Motor Sport Group). JWZ
Those 315's don't rub? Wheels are Alcoas widened from stock 10" to 11" by WeldCraft. Rear is Currie 9" that's narrowed 1/2" per side & loaded with 3.89's. Tires are tucked inside the wheel housing. No cutting, trimming, altering shocks Or bumpstop. There's no rub- not even close! WeldCraft was great to work with :quality is outstanding & these were shipped ahead of schedule! The SuperSnake wheels are in storage.
justindewoody
I'm tired of waiting. Shelby tells me that they have no idea when I might receive my order from 3 weeks ago. The wait is now "indefinite." So I'm "definitely" cancelling my order and going with the Durabright finish. I will have them in a week or so. Also, I have changed my mind about the black ones. I'm afraid I'm gonna get chips in the finish over time whereas the Durabright wheels don't have that problem. Also, there's the issue of waterspots. Those issues are enough to make me go back to my roots...the Durabright finish.

I say you stick it out a bit more..............as seen in an earlier post, apparently Shelby says they'll do the wheels in 20 x 11 -- so I'm waiting for those, but definitely in black. Oh..........................and word to your mother!
