jeff cox
i am going to get headers and off road, witch is better kooks or american racing? what are thoughts on both? good or bad I have kooks with high flow cats that go out the back of roush off road exhaust and love them. They are a bit loud at wide open throttle, but when going down the highway they are great. Hope that helps. Jeff
GOTSVT?
Go with the Dynatechs, easy to install.
JimC
I run AR long tube with High Flow cats and have both Borla and Magnflow The Magnaflow are a bit louder, flow better- not as much popping - and seem to give a smother preformance accross the RPM range. No issues or concerns. When I want loud I open the cut outs.
Justin00Stang
I run the dynatechs on my car, quality header at a good price. Plain SS is fine, i would not worry about any coatings. IMO its crucial you go with 1 7/8 if you ever plan to get into the 700rwhp range. http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index.php?p=catalog&parent=108&pg=
chimazo
Headers with no cats = ticket for excessive noise, throbbing headache, useless stereo, and neighbors who hate you...
JimC
Headers with no cats = ticket for excessive noise, throbbing headache, useless stereo, and neighbors who hate you... Ouch that sucks Try header with cats and a set of cut out before the cats. Not too loud, - unless you want it to be loud. No tickets - unless you run them open on the streets. No throubing headache, Can still hear the stereo - most of the time, when you want too. And only that jerk-off neighbors you don't like will hate you so who cares. And lastly the best place to argue with your wife is in the car with the cut out fully open
