08SGT/SC Posted September 7, 2010 Report Share Posted September 7, 2010 I'm looking into getting some 20 inch rims for my sgt. I don't know much about tire sizes (offset and backsize?) My father has 20inch razors on his gt500, but those have 20x9'' and these are only available in 20x8.5'' (Torq Thurst MS) with two choices for offset and backside. I want to get rims and eventually supercharge the car summer of 2011. Any recommendations for which sizes to pick. 08sgt1042 Posted September 7, 2010 Report Share Posted September 7, 2010 I am begining the wheel shopping myself and really don't understand the whole back set issue or the specifics needed to pick the proper size to replace the stock rims, I have considred 20" or staying with 18's. JeffIsHereToo Posted September 8, 2010 Report Share Posted September 8, 2010 If you do an advanced search for the word "rims" and restrict it to this forum (Mod & Tech) you will find quite a few threads on this topic and the pros and cons of different combinations and uses. You said you may add a SC and usually that brings with it a desire for better breaks.
