Just curious what other FORD and SHELBY guys drive as their beaters? :waiting:

I use an old Exploder for my daily beater and for snow.

'06 Ranger Sport 25,000 miles. Still have my first car in my garage, a 426 Super Stock Plymouth ( for 47 years now )

My DD is my SGT :yup: PIA to keep her clean in this Miami rainy season but as many of you will agree, you just can't drive a dirty Shelby.....which my wife thinks I'm nuts, she just doesn't get it but goes through with it, wait until she hears that I need new tires in a month or so :hysterical: and I know she will say she NEEDS a new purse

My daily driver for the past two year has been this 65 coupe. Even during the Colorado winters. On really bad days I have my dually 4x4, but that was only a couple days this winter.

I just bought this Lincoln Mark VIII this last weekend. This will probably be my daily driver now. I'll switch back and fourth with the 65 probably.

Awwww...this is GREAT! This is exactly what I'd hoped for. What a cross section of cars. I cannot believe it, but NOT all Fords????

Thx everyone, keep 'em coming.

This is my other Hotrod for now.....not a D.D. 2008 BMW 135i

I was a truck driver/heavy equipment operator for nearly 40 years, had a lot of trouble-free hours behind Cummins engines. If Ford used it, I'd follow. Drove Ford gas powered pickups for most of my life, when I felt the need for some pulling power, it was a no-brainer for me!

Half expecting a call from SAI to come get my car out of their way any day now, then that'll be my daily driver!

I usually drive my SGT, but on the "not so hot" days I drive my 1968 Bronco, then for "muddin' in the Florida swamp", I take my 1971 Bronco, AKA "The Beast" (she's ugly but goes like a bat -out -of -hell in the mud). Only my 2006 GTH is a garage queen.

Not actually beaters, but...Most of the time we (my wife and I commute together) drive our '08 Honda Civic....it's lease ends next January, so by the end of the year we're going to buy another commuter car....

Our other car (actually a truck), primarily our winter machine, long-distance traveler and up until recently used to tow our travel trailer, is our '06 Ford Expedition...

I've said for years, "The best daily driver is none at all", by which I mean a person should live in a way that the necessities of life are available without using an excess of resources or polluting more than the minimum achievable.

Of course, we don't live in a world where it's easy to be comfortable doing that, so...

We are retired. Wife DDs to school in her RAV4; we haul cement, bricks, lumber, construction trash, etc. in a 1989 Toyodel X-cab sr-5 P/U (bought new; 173 miles last year). The Fords are for recreational use only (20 or so miles per day, average, including two ~3,000-mile Terlingua adventures). I really do feel guilty, Mr Gore.
