Please note that it is NOT a GLHS. It is a GLH Turbo, commonly known as a GLHT. The engine differences between the two, a GLHT has the T-I motor which has a log manifold and is not intercooled. But intercooling is easy to add. The GLHS started life as a GLHT and was modified by Shelby to make it the equivalent of the T-II motor (intercooling and 2 piece intake with equal runners). However it looks to be in great shape and the price is super for the car! And silver is one of the rarer colors. Great find! All the best.

Not to be overlooked, there were other mods to the GLHS that Shelby did. Koni struts/shocks at all 4 corners, and Shelby Centurian wheels. All GLHS models were black and had special Shelby designed graphics and identities specifying Shelby GLHS, and a Shelby windshield decal. Inside, a leather wrapped steering wheel and matching shift knob, and a dash plaque that had the Shelby autograph printed on it, and the car # engraved. Of the approximately 10K GLH Turbo models produced, 500 of them were converted by Shelby to become GLHS models.

In 1987, 1000 of the two door GLHS models were produced. These are known as Shelby Charger GLHS as they were based on the production line Shelby Chargers. Again, Shelby upgraded the T-I engine to T-II specs, put Koni's on all 4 corners and the Centurian wheels (though slightly different than the ones used on the 86 car), And like the 1986 GLHS, they were all black and had special Shelby graphics and identities applied. Interior mods were also brought over.
