Leather Cleaner / Conditioner

So when I was detailing my car with the $70 in Meguiars products I purchased I used their leather cleaner/conditioner on my seats and steering wheel. Everything looks amazing but I read (unfortunately afterwards) not to use the product on suede. Alcantara is like a synthetic suede, does anything know if leather cleaner/conditioner is bad for the Alcantara on our seats/wheel? If so how the hell do you clean your seats without getting it on the Alcantara too?

Wow......but seriously what do you guys do to keep yours clean? I don't see any products on their site. My leather cleaner is a spray and it's damn near impossible not getting it on the inserts on the seats...I guess I could look for a cream conditioner that I could apply easier to the rest of the seat. Has anyone had any problems with their alcantara being stained or anything? That is all I'm really worried about.

They need a GT500 on the front page of their site with those other cars IMO ( =

I use Meguires fine leather wipes for the seats. Every 6 months I use Lexol leather condtioner (not the cleaner). To clean the alacantra I use a spray suede cleaner. Mine never really gets dirty.

I have had alcantara in a few cars and it is very durable. I have always just cleaned it with a drop of organic soap in distilled water. Once its dry I use a soft brush and it looks like new.

I use zymol leather cleaner and conditioner for all our cars and zymol waxes.

Unless you read that leather cleaner/conditioner is bad for the alcantara I would just use the cleaner you already have and spray the towel and apply it to the leather portions that way trying to keep it clear of the alcantara.

rather than spraying the Maguairs directly on the leather, spray it onto a clean wet sponge and apply it that way---i luv Maguars products, but have always used Lexol on leather--seems to last better, and the leather comes out a shade darker than the Maguiars in the test i did with the Cobra. It comes with cleaner and or conditooner--as noted, since our cars are new,i just use the conditioner on mine.I clean my "suede" with Woolite once evry 6 months,as a noted above Heres a link to a site tha i found afew months ago that was linked into the Alcahantra site http://www.james.eu/en/upholstery/lubricants-spreads.htm
